Volunteer Program

Make an Impact. Shape a Future. Grow With Purpose.

The Mlekwa School Volunteering Program welcomes passionate individuals who want to serve, learn, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children in Nyegezi, Mwanza.

As a growing pre-primary and primary school, we believe strong education is built through collaboration, mentorship, and service.

When you volunteer at Mlekwa, you become part of something bigger than a classroom — you become part of a vision for the future.

Our Vision

At Mlekwa School, we are committed to building a strong foundation for every child through quality early childhood education that prioritises literacy, numeracy, and confident classroom participation. We believe that learning at an early age shapes a child’s entire future, and we are intentional about creating an environment where young minds can thrive.

Our focus on English-speaking excellence equips learners with the communication skills needed to access broader educational and professional opportunities. Through structured lessons and daily practice, students develop confidence in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently.

We place great emphasis on discipline and strong moral values, nurturing respect, responsibility, integrity, and kindness. Education is not only academic — it is character formation. Our goal is to raise children who contribute positively to their families and communities.

Beyond academics, we support holistic child development, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, social skills, and emotional growth. Every child is seen, supported, and guided toward reaching their full potential.

At the same time, Mlekwa School serves as a meaningful platform for international collaboration. We aim to empower volunteers through practical teaching experience, leadership growth, and rich cultural exchange, creating a mutually beneficial partnership that strengthens both our students and those who come to serve.
